Hi everyone!
So its no secret that I'm a huge fan of cheek products. A product that defines cheek bones and brightens the face? Sign me up! I used to be a complete bronzer whore, and never touched blush. This all changed when I got the ELF blush in Candid Coral. I've become a total convert, and now pile on bronzer and blush like they're going out of style.
With all of the color options out there, I was definitely overwhelmed with blush colors when I first started. Because my skin is yellow-toned, I tend to stay away from the pinks when my skin is pale. My skin tends to look jaundice-y in the winter, and I don't want to emphasize that with blue-toned pinks! I tend to gravitate towards yellow-based blushes that suit my skin tone, rather than clash with it. Hence, I'm SLIGHTLY obsessed with corals. Not too pink, not too orange, and a whole lot of pretty.
First up on the Coral Express is the Benefit Coralista. This is by far the best smelling blush I've ever used, but that's besides the point. This is a really light coral, that has some pin tones to it too. I think I used this almost everyday in the summer, and I've been reaching for it a lot then. It's not too pink to make me look sallow, and coral enough to warm up my face (if that makes any sense at all). Up next is my beloved NARS Illuminator in Super Orgasm. This is a liquid highlight/blush that I'm still not over. It's such an easy product to use and looks great. I definitely reach for this on days when I couldn't be bothered to spend more than 5 minutes on my makeup. Another blush that's already been featured in this post is the ELF Candid Coral. This was the first blush I ever bought, and it's still one of my all-time favorites. This is definitely the warmest out of these blushes, as there's hardly any pink at all. Maybe that's why I'm so enamored with it! Finally, we have the Rolls Royce of coral blushes: MAC Stereo Rose. I picked this up around Christmas, and haven't looked back. This is definitely one of my blushes that has the most shimmer, but I'm down to clown. This is absolutely stunning. If you can still get your hands on it, I really recommend it!
